My name is Sue Olstrom. I took my first pottery class way back in high school and loved playing with the clay. I took classes now and then until about 3 years ago when now and then was not enough! My husband helped me turn our garden shed into Sue's studio! With a new wheel and kiln, I was off and running and Muddy Sista Pottery became a reality.
I make mugs, bowls, vases and all sorts of unique functional and decorative pieces. My garlic graters are a big hit along with my mugs. Does your pet need a food/water bowl with his/her name or custom design on it? I can do that too!
All of my pieces are made by hand. I do both hand building and wheel work. All pieces are fully vitrified and will hold liquids/food. My functional pieces are made with food safe and lead free glazes. And, speaking of glazes...I love experimenting with glaze combinations and layers to get the most unique, original and beautiful result

It is always a surprise to see what the kiln and fire have done with my work.
Until my online store is open, some of my pieces are available at Teal Magnolia Gifts in Boise ID. I can also be found every Saturday at the Meridian Main Street Market from mid-April through August. Until then, if you're looking for something special, drop me an email.
